Difference Between 806 and 802 Drivers

For you Brad sure ! Only that the gray matter isn't what it used to be so I may be wrong ! But I don't think so !

:lollipop: Based on drivers I own,that are original and the date codes they have.I just haven't opened up a lot of them in a long time.But I know what they have in them IIRC.

What are the numbers stamped on the rear covers? They are not the same.

Never seen them on the OTC drivers I've bought, so my SWAG is that it's some sort of tag for mating them up to a specific model line and/or speaker assembly, so wonder if they match up to a speaker customer's build lot or individual order number/bill-of-material (BOM). FWIW, it's the way we documented our shop build/shipping orders.

Are you talking about the Black ink stamped #'s ? If so they are the SERIAL #'s for the drivers as they only got a generic sticker Altec lansing model # Ohm rating Made in USA etc..........
